BEWARE: there was a severe bug in version 1.0.0 (and its release candidates).

In particular, the conversion of ntyp-type array variables from array(label) to array(index) [e.g. starting_magnetization(Fe) → starting_magnetization(1)] was not (necessarily) correct.
